Courtyard By Marriott Raipur today celebrated its fifth anniversary by baking the city’s tallest cake. The cake, which was displayed in Hotel lobby, was 5 meter (apprx 16.5 feet) tall and weighed around 375 kgs. It took a hydraulic lift to reach out and cut it. Guests at the hotel and Marriott Associates were present on the occasion.

Anuj Singh, Executive Chef, Courtyard by Marriott, Raipur said “Our culinary as well as engineering team took 7 days to prepare the cake. We have used refined flour, butter, fresh fruits, icing sugar and fresh roses to prepare it.”

Speaking on the occasion, Rajneesh Kumar, General Manager said, “Over the last five years, Courtyard by Marriott has become a preferred getaway destination offering Indian hospitality with a global flair. We are extremely excited about celebrating the hotel’s fifth anniversary today. Our team has come up with this unique idea for the occasion.
