World Insurance Acquires 3 Agencies in Northeast

Insurance brokerage World Insurance Associates reported that it lately closed on buying three insurance companies in the Northeast.

World Insurance acquired Michael F. Iacangelo & Company Inc. of Belleville, New Jersey on September 1, 2022. Iacangelo, based in 1957, sells private strains coverages.

Also on September 1, World Insurance acquired Cotten Coverage Insurance Agency of Farmingville, New York. Cotten Coverage gives property/casualty private strains and industrial strains on Long Island. The company was based in 1991 by Bob Cotten and his spouse, Karen.

A month earlier, on August 1, World Insurance Associates acquired O’Brien and Gibbons Insurance Agency of Worcester, Massachusetts. Originally based in 1961, O’Brien and Gibbons is retail private and industrial strains company.

Terms of the transactions weren’t disclosed.

World Insurance Associates is headquartered in Iselin, N.J. Since its founding in 2011, World has accomplished 160 acquisitions and serves its prospects from greater than 250 workplaces throughout the nation.
