    PHDCCI MP Chapter in association with MP Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd organized a VC on Implementation of KUSUM-C Scheme in Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was presided over by Mr Sanjay Dubey (IAS) Principal Secretary Energy Govt of Madhya Pradesh. The objective of the meeting was to have discussion with different stockholders on implementation of “C” component under PM Kusum Yojana which has been launched by Ministry of Renewable Energy Govt of India for farmers for installation of solar pumps and grid connected solar and other renewable power plants in the country .The Scheme consists of three components i.e Component A for 10,000 MW of Decentralized Ground Mounted Grid Connected Renewable Power Plants of individual plant size up to 2 MW, Component B for Installation of 17.50 lakh standalone Solar Powered Agriculture Pumps of individual pump capacity up to 7.5 HP and Component C for Solarisation of 10 Lakh Grid-connected Agriculture Pumps of individual pump capacity up to 7.5 HP.

    Mr Deepak Saxena IAS Managing Director MP Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd gave a detailed presentation on KUSUM C including the benefits of scheme to farmers and Investors. He apprised that scheme has been designed to achieve social and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

    Mr Sanjay Dubey IAS PS Energy Govt of MP in his address highlighted the importance of scheme and said that the payback period of investment is very short for farmers as well as investors. He informed that department has done all studies and field work for the feasibility of scheme. He invited suggestions from industries engaged in solar pump , solar panel, net metering along with Renewable Energy Service Companies (RESCOs),Developers and EPCs for effective implementation of Scheme in the state. He also answered the questions of participants.

    Mr Deepak Saxena IAS MD MPUVN,CGM of DISCOMs, Mr B K Patel, Chief Engineer also answered the queries raised by participants during the meeting. Mr Gaurav Mamik Co Chairman Power, RE & AE PHDCCI New Delhi suggested that some states like Rajasthan have already implemented the scheme and their model can be compared for effective implementation of scheme in Madhya Pradesh.
