Himalayan Re has been granted approval by the IRDAI supervisory authority to conduct reinsurance business in India.
Himalayan Re was founded in 2021 as Nepal’s first private reinsurance company.
Shortly after its establishment, the reinsurer successfully expanded its operations to 31 countries.
As part of its development strategy, the company also concluded its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in January 2024.
