Binance bStocks surpass $1 billion in AUM, fastest among tokenized equities

Singapore, October 15, 2026: Binance announced that its tokenized equity product, bStocks, has exceeded $1 billion in assets under management (AUM) approximately four months after its launch on June 11, 2026, making it the fastest tokenized equity product to reach this milestone, according to on-chain data from Dune Research.

Since launch, bStocks have recorded over $40 billion in cumulative trading volume, averaging more than $300 million per day. The number of tokenized stock and ETF products listed has grown from five at launch to nearly 100 by October 2026, reflecting rising adoption of tokenized U.S. equities and exchange-traded funds.

Rapid growth in trading and conversions

Binance reported that approximately $6 billion has been converted between direct stock positions and bStocks at 1:1 parity, allowing users to move between tokenized and direct holdings without broker transfers or market-hours constraints. bStocks enable 24/7 trading, on-chain settlement, and transfers between exchanges and wallets, with each token fully backed by the underlying security.

Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, said bStocks are being actively used for trading, collateral, and transfers, noting: “bStocks trade around the clock, get used as collateral, move between self-custodial wallets, and convert 1:1 into direct stock holdings. Today, more than a billion dollars of that is held on Binance, and it’s being used, not just held.”

DeFi and collateral management expansion

Utilization of bStocks in decentralized finance (DeFi) reached 11.2% in early October 2026, around 3.8 percentage points higher than comparable tokenized equities. Outstanding borrowing against deposited bStocks collateral increased to 46.2% by September 10, up from 5.5% at the end of June, marking an 8.4-fold rise during the period. Data from end-July showed that 58.5% of early bStocks users also traded perpetual futures and/or direct equities on Binance.

In September, Binance extended bStocks collateral support to all eligible users, allowing supported tokens to be used as margin and futures collateral. This enables retail traders to borrow quote assets for leveraged exposure or use the same token as both collateral and a hedge for futures positions.

24/7 trading and market trends

Only 38% of Binance bStocks trading volume occurred during regular U.S. market hours in July, compared to 89.2% for conventional U.S. equities. On-chain transfers of tokenized stocks exceeded $100 billion in the third quarter of 2026, more than 16 times the $6 billion seen in the first quarter, with bStocks accounting for over 90% of weekly transfer volume at the early August peak. The market capitalization of tokenized equities more than quadrupled to over $3 billion by late September, making it the fastest-growing real-world asset (RWA) category of 2026.

Bridging traditional and digital markets

Binance stated that bStocks are designed to bridge traditional financial markets and blockchain infrastructure, with applications extending beyond trading into DeFi, collateral management, and risk management. Each bStocks token is backed 1:1 by the underlying security and can be redeemed for the security itself, not just its cash value.

Binance is a global blockchain ecosystem and operates one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges by trading volume and registered users.
