Woxsen University, XPO sign three-year MoU for industry-academia collaboration

Hyderabad, October 16, 2026: Woxsen University, Hyderabad, has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with XPO, a North American asset-based less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation company, to enhance industry engagement and provide experiential learning opportunities for students.

The partnership aims to integrate XPO’s industry expertise with Woxsen’s academic strengths through trainee programmes, live projects, internships, industry visits, and expert interactions, focusing on preparing students for workplace demands.

Student and Faculty Opportunities

Under the agreement, Woxsen students will have access to merit-based trainee programmes, live industry projects, internships, and industry visits, as well as interactions with XPO professionals in India. XPO will participate in pre-placement talks, employer interactions, and receive a preferred recruitment slot during placement season. The company will also provide input on curriculum relevance and emerging industry needs, and design industry-led modules through Woxsen’s 12 Value-Added Credits under the Applied Learning & Industry Interface pathway.

Faculty at Woxsen will be able to undertake 4–6-week industry engagements or projects at XPO in India, gaining exposure to new technologies and business practices. The collaboration also includes management development programmes, customised executive education, and certification programmes aligned with XPO’s learning and development requirements. XPO subject matter experts will deliver guest lectures and knowledge-sharing sessions, while dedicated representatives from both organisations will coordinate the partnership and explore further areas of collaboration.

Leadership Statements

Dr V. J. Byra Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Woxsen University, said the partnership with XPO demonstrates Woxsen’s commitment to industry-integrated education, combining academic rigour with XPO’s operational expertise to equip students with practical skills for high-demand roles.
