upGrad School of Technology partners with MongoDB for engineering certification

Mumbai, October 30, 2026: upGrad School of Technology (uGSOT) has entered into a partnership with MongoDB to provide engineering students with access to industry-recognised database technologies, hands-on learning, and certification opportunities.

The collaboration aims to address the rising demand for engineers skilled in cloud-native development, artificial intelligence, and modern database technologies by bridging the gap between academic learning and current industry requirements.

Certification and learning resources

As part of the initiative, eligible students will receive fully sponsored certification vouchers to validate their skills against globally recognised standards. Students enrolled in uGSOT’s four-year engineering programmes at Ajeenkya DY Patil University in Pune and Sri Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education in Tumakuru, as well as those in upskilling programmes, will have access to MongoDB for Academia resources.

Curriculum enrichment and industry exposure

The partnership will also explore curriculum enrichment through activities such as hackathons, innovation challenges, guest lectures, internships, and career opportunities, aiming to provide students with exposure to real-world software development environments. The initiative is designed to help students build practical expertise in modern database technologies that support scalable, secure, and AI-enabled applications.

Leadership perspectives

Vishwa Mohan, CEO of upGrad School of Technology, and Aamir Sait, Vice President – India, MongoDB, highlighted the importance of equipping engineering graduates with industry-relevant skills and modern data capabilities as part of the announcement.
