July 3, 2026 (BFN Bureau): uKnowva HRMS has introduced UVA (uKnowva’s Virtual Assistant), a conversational assistant built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that lets employees and HR teams interact with HR processes using natural-language prompts.
According to the company, employees can use UVA to manage leave requests, retrieve attendance details, create designations, post jobs, and access salary and payroll information. HR teams can use it to retrieve HR information and to schedule and manage meetings. uKnowva said the launch places it among the early HCM platforms bringing MCP-powered experiences to enterprise HR.
How the MCP Capability Works
uKnowva said the capability, built on the Model Context Protocol, connects AI assistants with authorized HR data and workflows to enable contextual interactions and approved actions within existing organizational access controls. The company said the feature covers HR activities related to recruitment, leaves, attendance, company policies, and schedule management.
uKnowva said it has also introduced separate AI agents for report and workflow creation, which HR teams can use to generate reports, access workforce insights, and manage administrative processes.
