Škoda Auto India launches new Slavia sedan, prices start at ₹9.99 lakh

Mumbai, October 6, 2026: Škoda Auto India has announced the launch and pricing of the new Slavia sedan, with ex-showroom prices beginning at ₹9,99,900 and customer deliveries scheduled to commence next week. The updated Slavia, unveiled in August 2026, is available in six trims—Classic, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige, and Monte Carlo—across multiple engine and transmission options.

The new Slavia is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, developed specifically for Indian conditions. Customers can choose between a 1.0 TSI engine with a six-speed manual or a segment-first eight-speed torque converter automatic, and a 1.5 TSI engine paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic. The 1.5 TSI variants also feature rear disc brakes.

Design and features

Exterior updates include all-new LED headlamps and taillamps with sequential rear turn indicators, a horizontal chrome strip across the grille, revised front and rear structures, and new alloy wheel designs. The Monte Carlo variant adds exclusive sporty detailing such as Monte Carlo badging, red stripes, and black exterior elements. The Slavia is offered in eight colours: Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Cherry Red, Shimla Green, and Steel Grey, with two new shades—Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige—joining the range. Deliveries of Cappuccino Beige will begin in December 2026.

Inside, the sedan introduces a segment-first Rear Seat Massage function, a 360-degree Area View camera, Park Pilot with front and rear parking sensors, and a larger 26.03 cm Digital Cockpit on higher variants. The infotainment system features a 25.6 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and an AI Assistant powered by Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent, Gemini, designed to recognise Indian English accents.

Safety and ownership

The new Slavia maintains its 5-star Global NCAP safety rating for adult and child occupant protection. More than 25 active and passive safety features, including six airbags, are standard across all variants, with higher trims offering over 40 safety features. Additional features such as rear defogger, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lamps, auto-dimming IRVM, and anti-glare ORVMs are available from the Classic+ trim upwards.

Škoda Super Care is included with the new Slavia, offering a standard 4-year or 100,000-kilometre warranty, four years of roadside assistance, and four free labour services for up to two years or 30,000 kilometres. The warranty is extendable by two years, with a six-year corrosion warranty and a three-year paint warranty provided across all variants.

Variants and pricing

The Classic variant is equipped with six airbags, over 25 safety features, Climatronic Auto AC, a 17.7 cm touchscreen infotainment system, and R15 steel wheels. The Classic+ adds an electric sunroof, R16 alloy wheels, all-LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers, and the eight-speed automatic option.
