Since the lifting of the lockdown people have become careless in wearing masks and following other health safety norms in public places. Keeping this in mind Courtyard by Marriott, Raipur in association with District TrafficPolice organised a unique awareness campaign ‘Khatra Abhi Tala Nahi Hai’ (the danger is not yet over) today at Bhagat Singh Chowk.
Under the campaign, that began at11 am, unique ‘Coronavirus’ and ‘Yamaraj’ mascots were seen walking on the roads and talking to people. They were trying to convince passers-by that they should wear masks, maintain social distancing, use sanitiser, wash their hands with soap, and get vaccinated.
They were seen saying “The pandemic is simply under control and could re-emerge at any time, so be careful”. These mascots also distributed free masks to those who were not wearing masks. The entire team clapped for those who have received vaccine shots. The team also treated them with chocolates. Speaking on the occasion, Rajneesh Kumar, General Manager of the hotel said, “The coronavirus crisis is not yet over, a little negligence can lead to another wave.
We were maintaining social distance, and wearing masks when the lockdown was in place, but today, when we need these things more than anything, we have not been following these protocols.” DSP, Traffic Police Department, Satish Thakur said, “Most of the activities have resumed since the unlocking, so we have to be vigilant during the next few months. Careless attitude will only increase the risk of infection.”
