Priya and Sid join MrBeast in $10 million Ghana community project

Mumbai, October 16, 2026: Indian travel creators Priya and Sid have participated in a $10 million sustainable community-building initiative in Ghana led by global creator MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), focusing on long-term social impact through infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood development.

The couple spent a week on-site, joining MrBeast and his team in developing a village designed to address systemic challenges by integrating essential facilities such as homes, a hospital, a school, and a local marketplace. The initiative aims to establish a self-sustaining ecosystem rather than providing one-time relief.

Hands-on involvement in Ghana

During their stay, Priya and Sid engaged directly with residents and contributed to activities including painting, planting, and construction. The marketplace, intended to support local vegetable growers and create new livelihood opportunities, was highlighted as a key element of the project.

The initiative is part of MrBeast’s broader efforts to combat issues such as illegal child labour on cacao farms in West Africa. Ghana, a source of cacao for MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate brand, has over a million children involved in illegal child labour, according to MrBeast. “Our plans through this movement aim to inspire an entire generation to take action and create meaningful change that has a clear and lasting impact on communities,” said Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast.

Healthcare and education focus

The project includes a hospital and plans to improve access to trained midwives, addressing the challenge of limited maternal care and medical assistance in remote communities. The school and other support structures are intended to help the community thrive in the long term.

Priya and Sid were selected for the initiative in part due to their content, including a video documenting their blood donation experience and a series on building a van. Sid said, “Donating is a small act that helps many. Jimmy saw our blood donation video and our van build series and was keen to have us. I do love building, and it was great to get our hands dirty.”

Creators highlight collective action

The couple’s experience in Ghana marked a shift from documenting travel to using their platform to spotlight collective action and the impact of everyday kindness. Priya reflected, “That week changed us to our core. We’re all so lucky in ways we don’t even know. There is no one blanket rule for fixing any issues in this world. It’s just one person at a time impacting one other person at a time with an act of kindness.”

They also connected with creators from around the world and participated in the extensive production documenting the project for upcoming videos. For Priya, the relationships formed with local residents and the emotional impact of the village’s reveal were the most memorable aspects of the experience.

Long-term vision for sustainable communities

The Ghana project is positioned as a model for building communities equipped with infrastructure, opportunities, and support systems for a sustainable future. Priya and Sid’s involvement underscores the potential for digital creators to drive awareness and participation in social impact initiatives.
