Over 200 join Hinduja College, CDSL cycle rally for World Investor Week 2026

Mumbai, October 10, 2026: K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, in association with Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) and Krisha Foundation, organised a cycle rally in Worli under the aegis of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to mark World Investor Week (WIW) 2026. The event saw participation from more than 200 students, faculty members and invited guests.

The rally aimed to promote investor awareness, financial literacy, responsible investment practices and investor protection, aligning with SEBI’s WIW 2026 theme, “Samajh Se Investing Simple.” Riders covered a 5 km route starting and ending at the Hinduja College campus at Sadhana House, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, carrying messages urging the public to invest with knowledge, verify before trusting, and remain alert to fraud.

Focus on investor resilience and digital risks

The initiative highlighted World Investor Week 2026 themes such as investor resilience, digital deception and scam alerts. Students and volunteers shared messages on building investor resilience, recognising digital deception and identifying scams, encouraging informed investment decisions and vigilance against financial fraud.

Students lead financial literacy drive

According to the organisers, the rally extended Hinduja College’s ongoing efforts to train students in finance, markets and investing, while encouraging them to share their learning with the wider community. Students participated as riders and volunteers, actively engaging with citizens to explain key concepts of financial literacy and investor protection.

Principal emphasises discipline in investing

Prof. (Dr.) Navin M. Punjabi, Principal of Hinduja College, said the cycle rally symbolised the discipline required for investing, adding, “Our message is simple—keep investing with discipline, awareness and knowledge. This approach can help build wealth in the long run. Investor Education cannot stay inside a textbook; through this Cycle Rally, our students carried the message of informed and safe investing to the community.”

K.P.B. Hinduja College of Commerce, established in 1974 and operating under the Hinduja Foundation, has over 7,000 students and 105 faculty, offering more than 17 courses from Junior College to Doctorate level in Commerce and Arts.
