KLH Aziznagar students win AI domain at Hackvibes 2.0 national hackathon

Hyderabad, October 16, 2026: A team of B. Tech. students from KLH Aziznagar campus has won in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) domain at Hackvibes 2.0, a national-level hackathon held at Vignan Institute of Technology & Science, Telangana. The KLH team was recognised for developing VeriMind, an AI hallucination verification platform aimed at assessing the reliability of AI-generated information.

The event saw participation from 234 teams across the country. The winning KLH team comprised Kuppala Jasmitha, Gorugantula Gayathri, and Vuppala Rithvik, who designed VeriMind to address concerns about the accuracy and evidential support of AI-generated content. The platform integrates information retrieval and natural language processing (NLP) in an evidence-based verification workflow to promote responsible AI use.

Platform addresses AI reliability

VeriMind was developed in response to the challenge of AI systems producing information that may appear convincing but can sometimes be inaccurate, contradictory, or unsupported by evidence. By combining retrieval and NLP techniques, the platform aims to help users make more informed decisions when relying on AI-generated data.

KLH leadership congratulates winners

Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President of KL Deemed to be University, congratulated the team, stating that KLH’s vision is to nurture professionals who blend knowledge, creativity, and responsibility. Dr. A. Ramakrishna, Principal of KLH Aziznagar, along with faculty and staff, also commended the students for their achievement.

Focus on industry-oriented education

KLH Aziznagar campus emphasises industry-oriented education, technical skills, and hands-on learning. The institution encourages students to address emerging challenges, aiming to strengthen their problem-solving abilities and prepare them for innovation in a competitive professional environment.
