JAKARTA, October 30, 2026: Garuda Indonesia has launched an upgraded Manage My Booking service, allowing passengers to independently reschedule, reroute, and refund flights through its website and FlyGaruda mobile app, as part of its ongoing digital transformation efforts.
The new features, available for both iOS and Android users, are designed to improve travel flexibility and streamline booking management. Passengers can now review alternative flight options and make changes without contacting the airline’s Contact Center or visiting sales offices, supporting Garuda Indonesia’s flexible ticketing policy introduced in April 2026.
Waived change fees and fare transparency
Under the updated policy, Business Class and Economy ticket holders can make unlimited flight date changes without administrative change fees, while Economy Promo passengers are entitled to one fee-free change. Any fare difference for a higher-priced replacement flight remains payable by the passenger.
The self-service change feature is available for eligible tickets purchased via Garuda Indonesia’s official sales channels, including its website, FlyGaruda app, sales offices, and Contact Center. Passengers who booked through travel agents or third-party channels must request changes through their original provider or seek assistance from Garuda Indonesia’s service channels. Bookings involving certain Special Service Requests may also require additional support.
Digital transformation to improve customer experience
The upgraded service is supported by enhancements to Garuda Indonesia’s digital systems, integrating booking management, flight availability, and payment processing for a more efficient and transparent user experience. Administrative change fee waivers remain subject to ticket category and fare conditions.
Neil Raymond Mills, Director of Transformation at Garuda Indonesia, said the changes aim to give passengers greater control over their travel arrangements. “Through the upgraded Manage My Booking service, we are making it easier for passengers to benefit from our waived administrative change fees while giving them greater control over their travel arrangements,” Mills said.
Broader transformation and recent performance
Mills added that the airline’s digital transformation is focused on removing complexity from the customer journey and strengthening Garuda Indonesia’s competitiveness in a customer-focused aviation sector.
Garuda Indonesia is Indonesia’s national flag carrier and has recently reported a 13.2% revenue growth to US$2.71 billion, driven by its ongoing transformation programme amid high jet fuel prices.
