CanSinoBIO Q3 revenue rises 27% as new vaccine launches drive growth

Hong Kong, October 27, 2026: CanSino Biologics Inc. reported a 27.40% year-on-year increase in revenue to approximately RMB 882 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, as the company accelerated commercialization across multiple vaccine products. Net profit attributable to shareholders rose 12.82% to about RMB 16.29 million, while net loss excluding non-recurring gains and losses narrowed by 45.72% to RMB 44.98 million.

The growth was attributed to sustained investment in research and development, portfolio expansion, and commercial infrastructure, according to the company. CanSinoBIO said it is transitioning to a business model driven by a broader lineup of complementary products, supported by five core technology platforms.

Multiple vaccine approvals and launches

In August, CanSinoBIO’s Tripecia(R) (DT3cP), an adsorbed diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (acellular, three component) combined vaccine for infants, received its first Certificate of Batch Release, enabling market supply. Tripecia(R) is China’s first approved three-component acellular pertussis vaccine.

The company’s Td5cp Adolescent and Adult vaccine, a five-component tetanus, reduced diphtheria and pertussis (acellular) combined vaccine, had its New Drug Application accepted by China’s National Medical Products Administration in August after being granted priority review. If approved, it would complement Tripecia(R) by targeting different age groups.

Also in August, Tetcia(R), an adsorbed tetanus vaccine, received marketing approval. CanSinoBIO granted Grand Life Sciences Group exclusive commercialization rights for Tetcia(R) in Greater China.

Menhycia(R) (MCV4), Asia’s first quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine, is currently approved in China for children aged three months to six years. In July 2026, a supplemental application to extend the eligible age to 17 years was accepted for review. For pneumococcal vaccines, iPneucia(R) (PCV13i) continues to advance in the domestic market, while its 24-valent candidate (PCV24) entered Phase I/II clinical trials with ongoing participant enrollment.

International expansion and partnerships

CanSinoBIO’s international strategy has evolved to include overseas registrations, local manufacturing, technology transfer, and joint development. Menhycia(R) received registration approval in Argentina in June 2026, following earlier approval in Indonesia in December 2024. The company supplied PCV13i products to its Indonesian partner in the first half of 2026 to support local manufacturing and potential inclusion in the national immunization program. CanSinoBIO also signed a letter of intent with AGP Limited in Pakistan to explore opportunities for iPneucia(R) in that market.

Technology platforms and R&D collaborations

The company’s five core technology platforms span adenovirus-based viral vectors, synthetic biotechnology, protein structure design and virus-like particle assembly, mRNA and LNP technology, and formulation and drug delivery. In August, CanSino (Shanghai) Biologics R&D Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with deepGeneAI (Hangzhou) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to jointly develop personalized mRNA therapeutic cancer vaccines targeting gastrointestinal and rare tumors for global markets.

In September 2026, CanSinoBIO’s project on polysaccharide–protein conjugation and industrial-scale production was awarded third prize in the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association’s 2025 Science and Technology Awards. The company also participated in the 27th Annual General Meeting of the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network, engaging in discussions on joint R&D, technology transfer, and global vaccine access.

Broader portfolio and long-term outlook

CanSinoBIO said its expanding product portfolio, ongoing international expansion, and multi-level industry collaborations are creating new opportunities for sustainable growth. The company’s investments in technology platforms and R&D are expected to support future product development and global partnerships.
