BHEL and SIS Limited modernise IT infrastructure with Nutanix solutions

Gurugram, October 9, 2026: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and SIS Limited have adopted Nutanix technologies to upgrade their IT infrastructure, with both organisations reporting significant improvements in operational efficiency and readiness for artificial intelligence initiatives, according to Nutanix.

BHEL consolidated 20 data centres into two centralised sites using the Nutanix Cloud Platform, which resulted in a reduction of its hardware footprint by up to 97%. The company also reported that it can now provision fully configured virtual machines in under an hour.

The consolidation project at BHEL aimed to streamline operations and reduce physical infrastructure. By leveraging Nutanix Cloud Platform, BHEL achieved a substantial decrease in hardware requirements and improved its IT provisioning speed.

SIS Limited migrates to Nutanix Kubernetes Platform

SIS Limited migrated its business-critical SIS Core application from the public cloud to the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP). This move has strengthened the company’s control over its data and reduced its monthly cloud expenditure by approximately 80%. The migration is also expected to support future AI and automation projects at SIS Limited.
