Worldmark 1 hosts Sufiyana Qawwali evening with Nizami Bandhu in Delhi

New Delhi, November 2, 2026: Worldmark 1, a mixed-use development by BGRE in New Delhi, hosted ‘Sufiyana’, an evening dedicated to Qawwali and Sufi music on October 30, featuring a performance by Nizami Bandhu (Youth) led by Ustad Chand Nizami.

The event brought together visitors, hotel guests, the corporate community, dining audiences, and the wider Aerocity community for a musical experience celebrating India’s Qawwali traditions through both traditional and familiar Sufi compositions.

Nizami Bandhu’s performance and legacy

Nizami Bandhu, known for their longstanding association with Delhi’s Nizamuddin Dargah and their rendition of ‘Kun Faya Kun’ from the film Rockstar, performed a selection of Qawwali and Sufi pieces. The group, led by Ustad Chand Nizami, highlighted the poetry, rhythm, and spiritual essence of the genre.

Community engagement at Worldmark

Sufiyana was designed as a festive cultural gathering, aiming to engage Worldmark’s diverse community of professionals, travellers, residents, and visitors. The event is part of Worldmark’s initiative to expand beyond retail and dining by introducing curated cultural and entertainment-led experiences.
