Bangalore/Kochi, October 29, 2026: Industries 5.0 startup Venttup has secured $3 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures, with the capital earmarked for expanding its engineering team, investing in a precision manufacturing facility, and enhancing rapid prototyping infrastructure.
The company said the funds will also support the adoption of artificial intelligence to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence, and operational efficiency. Venttup aims to use this investment to scale its operations from engineering development and validation to scalable production, particularly in the energy transition, defence, aerospace, and space sectors.
Revenue growth and expansion plans
Since its last funding round in 2024, Venttup has grown its revenues fivefold to Rs 10 crore and built an order pipeline of Rs 30 crore. Over the past 12 months, the company has added more than 15 blue-chip clients and developed a business opportunity pipeline of approximately Rs 30 crore across new energy, mobility, and smart infrastructure segments.
Venttup is establishing a manufacturing facility in Bengaluru to strengthen its rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing capabilities. The facility will support precision machining, turning, and sheet metal production for applications in energy transition, defence, aerospace, and space, enabling faster movement from component development and validation to production readiness and mass manufacturing.
Strategic focus and business verticals
The company is expanding across four business verticals: energy transition and data centres; aerospace, defence, and space systems; smart infrastructure and future mobility; and electronics, automation, and smart manufacturing. Venttup aims to become a long-term development and manufacturing partner for OEMs, technology companies, and emerging deep-tech businesses, supporting domestic supply-chain resilience and global sourcing from India.
Venttup was founded by Sandeep Nair (Co-Founder & CEO), M. Wasim Ankli (Co-Founder & COO), and Joseph Panakkal (Co-Founder & CMO), industry veterans with experience at Hitachi Energy, Siemens, L&T, and Kalpataru Power. The company was incubated at Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
Investor perspectives
Sandeep Nair, Co-Founder and CEO of Venttup, said the funding would help strengthen the team, expand precision manufacturing capabilities, and adopt technology to serve both emerging deep-tech companies and established OEMs. “At Venttup, we are building an engineering-first manufacturing company that brings together design standardisation, rapid prototyping, testing, and scalable production through India’s capable MSME ecosystem,” he said.
Abhinav Singh Negi, Lead – Climate and Deeptech at Rainmatter by Zerodha, noted, “Venttup is uniquely positioned to fulfill demand by acting as a dependable operational bridge. Their approach of combining an in-house precision facility in Bengaluru with a vast, quality-checked network of local MSMEs provides immense value to the ecosystem.”
Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner at Unicorn India Ventures, said, “We have been invested in Venttup since the seed round and have seen the speed at which the company is growing. Precision manufacturing as a segment is going to experience explosive growth as the deep tech ecosystem matures.”
