Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has supplied accident insurance facility to households of about 4,000 party activists who misplaced their lives.
The party, which has been offering accident insurance for its activists for the final six years, has paid the premium to the United India Insurance Company for the seventh time on Tuesday. TRS working president KT Rama Rao introduced a cheque for the premium to the corporate.
So far the party has paid Rs 66 crore as insurance premium within the final seven years. This facility by TRS provides accident insurance cover to all party activists aged under 70 years. In case of unintentional loss of life Rs 2 lakh could be given to the sufferer’s household. For whole incapacity Rs 1 lakh and for partial incapacity Rs 50,000 will probably be given to the activists.
TRS workplace secretary and former MLC Srinivas Reddy, together with party insurance affairs common secretary Soma Bharat and others have been current.
