Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest Announces Literary Awards Shortlist and Exciting Schedule

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India:
 The Shortlists for the distinguished Tata Literature Live! Literary Awards have been introduced. The Awards are introduced yearly on the Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, for books revealed through the yr. The intention of the awards is to recognise and encourage literary expertise throughout genres, for each established and new writers. The winners are historically named on the gala closing session of the Festival, which shall be held on Sunday 13 November, 8pm onwards on the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Mumbai.

 

The Shortlists in every class (in alphabetical order) are as follows:

Each yr, to recognise the significance of poetry and to honour excellent literary contribution, a Poet Laureate is nominated for the Festival and a Lifetime Achievement Award is introduced. This yr’s Tata Literature Live! Lifetime Achievement Award has been conferred on eminent playwright Mahesh Elkunchwar and the Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest’s Poet Laureate is veteran poet Gieve Patel.


 


In line with its fixed spirit of innovation, the competition has this yr launched the Tata Literature Live! Photography Fellowship which can provide younger photographers the chance to doc a group of literature lovers within the metropolis at, and outdoors of, the competition.
