SKÅL International India and Belarus Consulate sign MoU to boost tourism ties

Hyderabad, November 2, 2026: SKÅL International India and the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Mumbai have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting tourism, enhancing cultural exchange, and fostering bilateral cooperation between India and Belarus.

The agreement was formalised during the 40th Anniversary celebrations of SKÅL International Hyderabad, held at Hotel Taj Krishna on Sunday night. The MoU was signed and exchanged by Aliaksandr Motsukou, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Mumbai, and Sk. S. Venkat Reddy, President of SKÅL International India.

Focus on tourism and cultural exchange

The MoU outlines three primary areas of collaboration: tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and bilateral cooperation. The two parties will work to promote travel between India and Belarus, encourage tourism partnerships, and raise awareness of each country’s tourism potential. Additionally, the agreement aims to facilitate cultural interactions and initiatives to strengthen people-to-people connections and encourage collaboration among tourism stakeholders, institutions, and businesses in both countries.

Leadership and significance

The signing ceremony was attended by Mohan N.S.N. (NSN Mohan), President designate of SKÅL International for 2027. Mohan is set to become the first Indian and first Asian to assume the role of Global President in the 93-year history of SKÅL International. He is a member of SKÅL International Hyderabad 606, which played a key role in conceptualising the initiative.

Role of SKÅL International Hyderabad

Dr. PHF Rtn. Sk. Valmiki Hari Kishan, President and Executive Board member of SKÅL International Hyderabad 606, was instrumental in driving the initiative. The chapter emphasised that the MoU reflects its commitment to advancing tourism partnerships beyond geographical boundaries and creating opportunities for global collaboration.

According to SKÅL International India, the initiative demonstrates how professional tourism networks can contribute to strengthening international relationships by connecting tourism professionals, cultural institutions, and business communities.
