Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Textiles, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, will address India’s largest digital summit IDS 2022, scheduled for 11-12 January. He will deliver the Valedictory Address on 12th January.
Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) will organise the 16th edition of IDS, with a key focus on digital startsups, data economy and web 3.0. Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State, Ministry of Electronics & IT and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, will deliver the keynote address at the summit.
With the central theme – ‘Supercharging Startups’, the conference will curate discussions around Creating growth opportunities for Indian startups, Data privacy versus data economy, Tech startups as value creators for the country.
India is ranked second globally in the number of digital startups, with 82 startups entering the unicorn club as of last year. These startups have the potential to drive the economy, investments, employment. The summit will be a platform to deliberate upon technology and data-related policies with primary focus on digital startups.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder, PayTM; Adwaita Nayar, Co-Founder, Nykaa; Deep Kalra, Founder & Group CEO, MakeMyTrip; Harshil Mathur, CEO & Co-Founder, Razorpay; Rahul Garg, Founder, Moglix; Sanjeev Barnwal, Founder & CTO, Meesho, among others, will also share their thoughts at the summit.
About 2,000 delegates will attend the event. The two-day summit will see over 45 sessions, 150 speakers, 500 brands.
The event will also see the launch of a report – “Creating 10 Million Digitally Enabled Microentrepreneurs”, by IAMAI & KPMG. The report talks about digital enablement of micro entrepreneurs that can build societal prosperity and promote equitable development.
