Scrambler biker ‘riding dangerously’ in Chapelford caught by police

Whittle Hall Police took action after reports that a scrambler bike was causing a nuisance in the Chapelford area on Saturday.

Officers responded to the call and searched the area.

The bike was traced and seized after the rider stalled.

The rider was dealt with for having no licence or insurance.

In a social media post, Whittle Hall Police said: “Yesterday we received a call informing us of a scrambler bike riding dangerously around the Chapelford area.

“PC Cotterill and PC Stevens responded to the call and conducted an area search.

“The bike was quickly located by PC Whittaker from our Roads Crime Unit.

“Unfortunately for the driver they stalled which allowed our officers to seize the bike.

“Driver has been dealt with for driving without owning a licence and for having no insurance.”
