RIR Power Electronics Q2 FY27 profit rises 41% to ₹4.45 crore

Mumbai, October 27, 2026: RIR Power Electronics Limited reported a 41.2% year-on-year increase in standalone profit after tax (PAT) to ₹4.45 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27), alongside a 32.5% rise in revenue to ₹33.98 crore.

The company’s adjusted EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹5.66 crore, up 29.7% from ₹4.36 crore in the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 16.65%, compared to 17.01% in Q2 FY26. Basic earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter was ₹0.56, up from ₹0.47 a year earlier. Quarter-on-quarter, revenue increased 25.1% and PAT grew 41.7% over Q1 FY27.

Odisha facility advances towards production

RIR Power Electronics completed the erection and installation of silicon carbide (SiC) epitaxial wafer manufacturing reactors at its upcoming facility in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, during the quarter. The project, being executed in two phases, saw phase one—covering epitaxy and packaging—advance with the completion of clean room construction and 33kV power supply infrastructure in Q1 FY27. The key equipment for SiC epitaxial wafer manufacturing has been installed, and essential power connections and utilities have been commissioned.

The readiness of the facility was witnessed by senior officials of the Odisha state government in September 2026. The company stated that commercial production is expected to commence upon completion of remaining statutory and regulatory formalities, with operations targeted for Q3 FY27. The Odisha project aims to establish India’s first vertically integrated SiC semiconductor production facility.

Focus on railway and power sector products

RIR Power Electronics said it will continue to prioritise new product development for the railway and power sectors to sustain its current growth trajectory. The company also highlighted its commitment to serving the defence and satellite technology sectors as part of its strategy to build indigenous capabilities in critical industries.

Management commentary on results and outlook

Dr. Harshad Mehta, Non-Executive Chairman, said the Q2 FY27 results reflect steady operational and profitability progress, and described the Odisha facility’s development as an important step for India’s semiconductor capabilities and the Make in India initiative. He added that the company remains focused on developing new products and creating sustainable, long-term value for stakeholders.

Managing Director and CEO N Ramesh Kumar noted the 32.5% year-on-year revenue growth and 41.2% PAT increase, and said the expansion in PAT margin to 12.5% was a positive indicator amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and cost pressures. He confirmed that the Bhubaneshwar facility is on schedule, with commercial operations expected to begin after remaining regulatory approvals are secured.

RIR Power Electronics Limited is listed on BSE (517035) and NSE (RIR), with a market capitalisation of approximately ₹1,408 crore.
