Rajeev Prasanna releases new song ‘Kyun’ inspired by US bus tour

Mumbai, October 13, 2026: Flautist and composer Rajeev Prasanna has released a new song titled ‘Kyun’, which was conceived during bus journeys across more than 10 cities in the United States while accompanying Shreya Ghoshal’s Unstoppable USA Tour.

The song, according to Prasanna, draws on the emotions of unexpressed feelings and one-sided love, reflecting on questions that often remain unanswered. The extended travel between cities provided the creative environment for the idea to develop into a full composition.

Song inspired by unspoken emotions

Rajeev Prasanna said the inspiration for ‘Kyun’ came from personal experiences of longing and unspoken love, recalling moments when words were left unsaid. “During those long bus journeys, I found myself going back to a time when there was so much I wanted to say, but somehow, I never said it. I kept thinking about that unspoken love, the feelings I held on to, and the possibilities of what could have been,” he said.

Capturing universal human experiences

‘Kyun’ aims to evoke memories and questions that listeners may relate to, inviting them to reflect on their own experiences with unexpressed emotions and missed opportunities.
