National, October 17, 2026: Navi Limited, in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications’ Sanchar Saathi initiative and the Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE), has launched the ‘No ‘Ten’sion This Festive Season’ campaign to promote cyber safety during the festive period.
The campaign, which coincides with Dussehra and Cybersecurity Awareness Month, aims to raise awareness about digital fraud as online shopping and digital transactions surge across India. It draws inspiration from Ravana’s ten heads to spotlight ten prevalent festive scams and offers practical advice for safer digital transactions.
Focus on festive scams and safety tips
Through short-form videos on Navi’s social channels, the campaign will break down ten common scams, including fake delivery messages, fraudulent shopping websites, fake cashback offers, QR code fraud, impersonation, and misleading cash offers. It will also share ten cyber safety habits such as enabling multi-factor authentication, keeping financial apps updated, reviewing app permissions, and activating transaction alerts.
Scenario-led guidance for consumers
The initiative features a scenario-led series, ‘Scam or Safe? Festive Edition,’ where an expert explains everyday festive situations to help consumers spot potential scams and learn protective measures. The campaign addresses tactics used by fraudsters—such as creating urgency, fear, or impersonation—to prompt individuals to share sensitive information or make unverified payments.
Role of Sanchar Saathi and FACE
Sanchar Saathi, the Department of Telecommunications’ citizen-centric platform, allows users to report suspected fraudulent calls, SMS, and WhatsApp messages through its Chakshu facility. The portal also enables citizens to check mobile connections registered in their name and block lost or stolen handsets. According to DoT, citizen reports via Sanchar Saathi have helped prevent suspected cyber-fraud losses exceeding ₹5,000 crore.
FACE, recognised by the Reserve Bank of India as a Self-Regulatory Organisation in the fintech sector, works to advance responsible fintech practices with a focus on consumer protection. The joint campaign aims to encourage consumers to pause, verify, and use available reporting channels when encountering suspected fraud.
Navi’s digital financial services
