On the occasion of World Environment Day, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation (MPCDF), Bhopal, along with all its affiliated Milk Unions across the state, organised tree plantation programmes to promote environmental conservation, biodiversity and sustainable development.
A tree plantation drive was conducted at the MPCDF Headquarters in Bhopal in the gracious presence of Mr. Sudhir Kumar Singh, Chairman, Indian Dairy Association; Dr. Sanjay Govani, Managing Director, MPCDF; and Mr. Jaidev Biswas, General Manager, MPCDF. Officers and employees of the Federation actively participated in the programme by planting saplings and reaffirming their commitment towards environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized that environmental conservation is a shared responsibility and that collective efforts such as tree plantation and water conservation are essential for building a greener and healthier future for coming generations.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Govani, Managing Director, MPCDF, said, “Trees are not only vital for maintaining ecological balance but are also indispensable for the sustainability of human life, agriculture and livestock. World Environment Day reminds us of our responsibility towards nature. If every citizen plants and nurtures at least one tree every year, we can make a significant contribution towards creating a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.”
Similar tree plantation activities were also organised at the premises of MPCDF-affiliated Cooperative Milk Unions in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Bundelkhand (Sagar), where officers and employees participated enthusiastically and spread awareness about environmental conservation.
The initiative reflects MPCDF’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability, conservation of natural resources and the promotion of a greener future for Madhya Pradesh.
