MARS Petcare India, in association with Indie Tails of Hope (ITOH) and the Rotary Club of Bangalore, will hold its 13th pet adoption camp on February 13, 2022, from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm. To be held at the Rotary Club of Bangalore (address below), the camp is dedicated to finding a loving home and responsible family for rescued Indie puppies and dogs.
According to the MARS Petcare State of Pet Homelessness Index, there are over 80 million homeless animals in the country. The adoption camp is a conscious effort by MARS Petcare, ITOH, and the Rotary Club to provide the rescues with homes where they are wanted, cared for, and welcomed.
ITOH is an initiative by Bangalore residents to help Indie puppies in distress. A 100% volunteer-based institution, ITOH helps rescuers by organising adoption camps. It is not a shelter but believes in voluntary adoption and in creating an ecosystem that assists adopters by referring them to trainers, reliable boarding facilities, reputed veterinarians across Bangalore, and much more.
Ganesh Ramani, Managing Director, Mars Petcare India, said: “Over the years, Mars Petcare has undertaken various initiatives like pet adoption drives, health camps, vaccination drives, stray feeding activities, and thought leadership seminars with industry stakeholders. Even with our most recent campaign, #BeIndieProud, under the Pedigree brand umbrella, we aim to encourage people to adopt Indie dogs and facilitate that through our NGO partners. We are driven by the purpose of creating a better world for pets and associations like these are a step towards it. We are delighted to be associated with ITOH and the Rotary Club of Bangalore to host the pet adoption camp and provide our furry companions with loving homes.”
As a leading pet nutrition company, MARS Petcare is addressing the issue of pet homelessness through various programmes, campaigns, and partnerships, and by advocating the right nutrition for pets. The partnership with ITOH and the Rotary Club of Bangalore is a step towards reducing pet homelessness in India and creating a better world for pets.
