Joint agreement formalises cattle feed supply to support the nutritional needs of destitute cattle
Bhopal, November 4, 2026: A joint agreement was signed today at the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Bhopal, to formalise the supply of ‘Sudana’ cattle feed to registered gaushalas (cattle shelters) across Madhya Pradesh, ensuring proper nutritional care for destitute cattle.
Under the agreement, the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation and the Madhya Pradesh State Livestock and Poultry Development Corporation, Bhopal, will deliver ‘Sudana’ cattle feed to registered gaushalas across the state in accordance with State Government guidelines. The initiative aims to support the feeding of destitute cattle housed in these shelters by providing cattle feed.
The joint agreement was concluded among the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, the Madhya Pradesh Gau Samvardhan Board, the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation, and the Madhya Pradesh State Livestock and Poultry Development Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jaidev Biswas, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation, said, “Supporting the provision of cattle feed to destitute cattle housed in registered gaushalas is our shared responsibility. The Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation will play an active role in delivering ‘Sudana’ cattle feed to gaushalas in accordance with State Government guidelines. We will work in coordination with the departments and institutions concerned to ensure a smooth supply of cattle feed.”
The meeting was attended by Dr. P.S. Patel, Director, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and In-charge Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Gau Samvardhan Board, Government of Madhya Pradesh; Shri Jaidev Biswas, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation, Bhopal; Dr. Praveen Shinde, Executive Director, Madhya Pradesh Livestock and Poultry Development Corporation, Bhopal; Dr. Anupam Agrawal, Registrar, Madhya Pradesh Gau Samvardhan Board; Dr. Shubhankar Nanda, Group Head, Coordination, Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation, Bhopal; Dr. Vineet Tiwari, Additional Deputy Director, Madhya Pradesh Gau Samvardhan Board; and Dr. Priyakant Pathak, Additional Deputy Director, Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
