New Delhi, October 21, 2026: Lxme, a financial platform focused on women, has been announced as the Title Sponsor of the Indian Women’s League (IWL) in a multi-year partnership with Capri Sports. The agreement marks the first major sponsorship milestone since Capri Sports’ 15-year commitment to Indian women’s football.

The collaboration aims to advance women’s financial independence and promote greater opportunities for women in sports, with both organisations emphasising the economic and social value of investing in women. Lxme’s association with the IWL extends its mission of supporting women’s financial empowerment to the sporting arena, while Capri Sports continues its efforts to build a stronger ecosystem for women’s football in India.

Capri Sports and Lxme partnership

Capri Sports, which recently acquired the commercial rights to the IWL and IWL2, has committed to a 15-year investment in Indian women’s football. The partnership with Lxme is intended to create an environment where women have access to resources and opportunities to pursue their ambitions both on and off the field.

Jinisha Sharma, Director & Promoter of Capri Sports, said the partnership is significant as it brings together businesses that recognise the economic potential of women. “Having Lxme come on board so early in that journey is particularly meaningful because they understand this philosophy. They’ve built their own business around recognising and investing in the economic potential of women,” Sharma said.

Lxme’s focus on financial empowerment

Lxme, launched in 2021, provides financial learning tools, investment and loan products, and savings options tailored to women. The company has been recognised internationally, including being featured in the Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Commemorative Album 2022 and receiving the “Warrior of Change” award at the Annual Impact Creator Awards 2021. Lxme was also selected for Facebook’s Community Accelerator Program and the Google for Start-ups Accelerator Program.

Priti Rathi Gupta, Founder of Lxme, said, “Our mission has been to challenge the notion that women’s financial futures can take a backseat. We see a similar need in sport, where women athletes continue to deserve greater visibility, investment and opportunity. Our partnership with Capri Sports is a natural extension of this belief that women’s potential should never be limited by how much space they are given.”

Supporting women’s football ecosystem

The partnership is expected to contribute to the growth of women’s football in India, with both Lxme and Capri Sports aiming to provide greater visibility and recognition for women athletes. Capri Sports is part of Capri Global Venture’s portfolio, which includes interests in non-banking financial services, housing finance, and sports ventures such as franchises in the Women’s Premier League, UAE ILT20 League, Pro-Kabaddi League, Warriorz FC, and Nova Sports.

Both organisations stated that the association represents an investment in a future where women’s ambitions are supported through tangible opportunities to participate, lead and succeed.
