Kundapur, Feb 1: Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency MP B Y Raghavendra said that the interim budget presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman is apt, real and complimentary to vision of India.
Raghavendra said, “Opposition parties thought that the union government will resort to popular announcements in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections that are round the corner. But PM Modi thought that popular scheme announcements will spoil the economy of the country and stressed on interim budget that is complimentary to the future of India.
“In the budget it is announced that action will be taken to resolve tax related disputes that are pending for more than six decades. It is really a matter of happiness that 41000 train bogies will be renovated to the quality of Vande Bharat trains. Development of ports, development of Lakshadweepa tourist spot, separate corridor for goods trains, airline facility for second and third tier cities and identifying more than 500 Udaan routes will play a major role in extension of fundamental infrastructure of the country.
“Providing solar power to houses, building of two crore houses are examples of pro-people thinking. Allocating Rs 11 lac crore for the defence department of the country shows the priority the government gives to the defence of the country. It is decided in the budget to provide Nano DAP after Nano Urea. Scheme is announced to provide strength to the dairies. Helath insurance is declared for Asha and Anganwadi workers.
“While many countries of the world are suffering setback in their economy, India’s economy is strong and that is why no increase is done in the limits of income tax. BJP will once again attain power after the Lok Sabha elections and Modi will be the PM again. In the annual budget that will be provided during that time will give the country many benefits,” he said.
