Jyoti Structures wins ₹648.91 crore Power Grid order for HVDC line in Gujarat

Mumbai, October 28, 2026: Jyoti Structures Limited (JSL) has secured a ₹648.91 crore order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for Package TL05 of the ±800 kV HVDC Bipole Barmer-II and South Kalamb Transmission Lines project in Gujarat, the company announced on Wednesday.

The contract, which excludes GST, covers the supply, erection, testing and commissioning of ±800 kV high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines on a turnkey basis, with a completion timeline of 38 months from the date of the Notification of Award.

Combined orders total ₹1,598 crore

This latest award follows two contracts worth a combined ₹949.35 crore received by Jyoti Structures from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited on October 26, 2026, for Packages TL01 and TL02 under the same transmission project in Rajasthan. The total value of the three packages now stands at ₹1,598.26 crore, excluding GST.

Additional projects in Gujarat and Sri Lanka

Jyoti Structures has also recently won a ₹689.93 crore contract from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) for the 765 kV DC Pachchham–Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat. The company is currently executing a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line project in Sri Lanka in partnership with Hayleys Fentons Limited, aimed at supporting the evacuation of wind power to the national grid.

Company highlights technical capabilities

Commenting on the order, Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Jyoti Structures Limited, said the engineering and execution of ±800 kV HVDC transmission lines require complex technical coordination and that the company’s integrated EPC approach addresses these requirements through design, manufacturing, prototype tower testing and site execution. “Attention to engineering detail, site conditions and quality at every stage remains central to how we execute transmission projects,” Dutta added.

Experience and manufacturing capacity

Jyoti Structures, incorporated in 1974, has constructed more than 37,600 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and delivered over 1,800 high-voltage substation bays across India and international markets. Its prototype tower testing facility at Ghoti, near Nashik, supports testing up to 1,200 kV. The company operates two manufacturing units in Nashik with a combined galvanisation capacity of approximately 72,000 metric tonnes, and its project execution experience spans varied terrains and challenging site conditions.
