Jaipur, Nov 16 (PTI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Rajasthan Police has registered a disproportionate property case towards an accounts officer of the Public Works Department in Kotputli city of Jaipur district, an official stated.

Special groups on Wednesday performed search operations at three places linked to Mahipal Singh and located property over 200 per cent in extra of his respectable revenue, Director-General of Police (Anti-Corruption Bureau) BL Soni stated in a press release.

Preliminary assessments counsel that Singh is estimated to have acquired property value Rs 2.63 crore, about 200 per cent greater than his respectable revenue, he stated.

The accused officer has been discovered to have invested his “illegal income” in residential/industrial/plots/flats in Jaipur, Kotputli and mutual funds, insurance. Rs 10.23 lakh in money, 1 kg gold biscuits, two luxurious autos and a considerable amount of movable and immovable property paperwork have been discovered in his Jaipur residence, the official stated.

A search of the accused’s workplace and residence in Kotputli led to restoration of two stone crushers, mining lease paperwork and a financial institution locker, Soni stated.
