The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) says it should avail the chance of the twentieth Anniversary celebration of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) to deepen its engagement in deposit insurance.
Mr Bello Hassan, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NDIC, mentioned this in a video by way of the company’s official Twitter deal with on Thursday.
Hassan mentioned that the engagement would improve the effectiveness of deposit insurance techniques.
According to him, IADI has recorded notable milestones since inception in 2002 and the NDIC is proud to be related to these achievements.
”NDIC has been a founding member of IADI in addition to the Africa Regional Committee (ARC) of the affiliation.
”IADI member nations internationally are celebrating the good achievements of IADI in enhancing the effectiveness of deposit insurance techniques.
”I sit up for deepening our engagement in crucial areas about deposit insurance through the forth-coming IADI twentieth Anniversary celebration on the ARC Conference and AGM,” he mentioned.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) stories that IADI is a non-profit organisation constituted underneath Swiss Law and domiciled on the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland.
It was shaped in May 2002 to reinforce the effectiveness of deposit insurance techniques by selling steerage and worldwide cooperation.
