Figures

The number of home insurance policies signed in the first half of August increased significantly by 26% year-on-year, which is also due to the subletting season preceding the academic year for higher education and the storm damage at the beginning of the month, according to Netrisk’s summary, writes profitline.hu.

The average premium for home insurance increased by 11% and exceeded HUF 36,000.

In addition to the storm damage, the housing insurance market was also boosted by the high rental market season that started after the announcement of the higher education point limits at the end of July.

In the first half of August, nearly 1,300 home insurance contracts were signed at Netrisk, 26% more than a year earlier, but this number is expected to increase further until the end of August.
