Finance Ministry to organise special campaign to deepen financial inclusion across India

In a bid to additional deepen financial inclusion (FI) framework, the Ministry of Finance will manage a special campaign from October 15 November 26. It shall be initially rolled out on the Gram Panchayat (GP) degree in seven districts across India.

They included Cuttack in Odisha, Aurangabad and Pune in Maharashtra, Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh, Kaushambi in Uttar Pradesh, Datia in Madhya Pradesh and Barpeta in Assam.

The campaign will deal with attaining saturation in respect of financial institution accounts, insurance/pension schemes for eligible people, distribution of Loans to Farmer Produce Organisations (FPOs), SHGs for the institution of Cold-Chain infrastructure.

It may even deal with increasing the protection of MUDRA & KCC penetration for individuals engaged in animal husbandry, dairy & fisheries, bringing self assist group (SHG) members inside the ambit of FI ecosystem of the nation and Mobile/Aadhaar seeding of current accounts with special deal with making small accounts regular accounts by doing full KYC.

The goal of Financial Inclusion is to prolong financial providers to the big hitherto un-served inhabitants of the nation to unlock its development potential. According to the ministry, the motto of financial inclusion is from Jandhan to Jansuraksha.
