KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 18, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC), an agency of the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA), and Envision Digital, the decarbonisation software program chief for web zero, have signed a brand new partnership settlement to accelerate Malaysia’s web zero journey and promote real-time carbon footprint monitoring for native organisations.
A doc change ceremony happened on the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) and was witnessed by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini bin Ujang, Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment and Water.
The partnership will provide a globally best-in-class blueprint for the way private and non-private entities world wide can work collectively to help the business group to accelerate nationwide web zero agendas. It follows the announcement of Envision’s strategic partnership with the Government of Spain in July to construct Europe’s first web zero industrial park.
Under the 12th Malaysia Plan, Malaysia has introduced bold goals of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 and lowering its greenhouse gasoline emissions (GHG) depth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 45% by 2030. The partnership between Envision Digital and MGTC will equip key stakeholders with the instruments and capabilities they want to monitor their carbon emissions.
As a part of this collaboration, each events will collectively develop a low carbon working system (LCOS) to allow native companies of all sizes throughout Malaysia to monitor and handle their carbon emissions. This shall be out there to all corporations in Malaysia, together with almost 1000 corporations listed on Bursa Malaysia and 1.2 million small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Powered by EnOSTM Ark, Envision Digital’s carbon administration resolution, LCOS permits key stakeholders to catalyse the decarbonisation and digitalisation momentum, and achieve real-time insights into their carbon footprint.
