Emeritus to host international branch campus university fair in Mumbai on October 24

Mumbai, October 15, 2026: Emeritus will organise the International Branch Campus University Fair & Open House on October 24 at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai, bringing together representatives from seven international universities with campuses in India to provide guidance on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2027–28 academic intake.

The one-day event will feature academic representatives, faculty, and admissions teams from the University of Aberdeen (Mumbai Campus), Illinois Technology (Mumbai Campus), University of York (Mumbai Campus), Victoria University (Delhi NCR Campus), University of Liverpool (Bengaluru Campus), University of Bristol (Mumbai Campus), and University of Colorado Denver (Hyderabad Campus). The University of Colorado Denver will participate as the first public American university to offer US degrees in India, following its recent receipt of a Letter of Intent from the University Grants Commission (UGC) to open its Hyderabad campus.

Six universities already operational

Six of the participating universities have received their Letter of Admission from the UGC, with campuses operational and students currently enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These institutions are preparing for the 2027–28 intake, while the University of Colorado Denver is preparing for its first cohort.

Guidance for students and families

The Open House is aimed at students in Grades 11 and 12, current undergraduates, and working professionals, offering information on programmes in disciplines such as biomedical sciences, engineering, business, creative industries, and technology. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact directly with university faculty and admissions teams for personalised guidance on programme selection, eligibility, admissions, scholarships, and application processes. Certain benefits will be available to families and students who engage with university teams during the event.

Interactive sessions for educators and parents

Parents, school counsellors, and educators are also encouraged to attend, with opportunities for one-on-one discussions and interactive forums to gain insight into global education options now available in India.

Policy context and organiser statement

The event aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the UGC’s 2023 regulations, which provide the framework for foreign universities to establish campuses in India. Avnish Singhal, Head of International Branch Campus Initiative at Emeritus, said the event responds to growing interest from families in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas, as more students consider international education options within India due to factors such as visa uncertainties and rising overseas costs. Emeritus serves as the strategic joint venture partner for these universities, supporting their market entry and establishment in India through non-academic functions.
