Two vehicles have been seized by Gardai in Kerry after they apparently attempted to avoid checkpoints on a busy road this Wednesday morning.
Members of the Garda Roads Policing Unit observed two drivers turning from the checkpoints on the N21 Castleisland to Tralee road and the drivers were apprehended.
Neither of them had insurance or driving licences and, as a result, the vehicles – a van and a car – were seized by Gardai and court prosecutions will follow.
In one of the vehicles the insurance disc on display had expired in October 2016 and the tax disc on the windscreen had expired in December 2016.
