Kadapa, August 7, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., has launched a new household water supply system in Pedda Komerla village, Kadapa district, providing reliable access to safe drinking water for nearly 80 households.
The initiative addresses the deterioration of the village’s previous decade-old water infrastructure, which had become unreliable due to ageing pipelines, leakages, and blockages. DBF installed a 10,000-litre HDPE water storage system, which has been integrated with the existing pipeline network to ensure a consistent water supply for daily household use.
Water supply to benefit residents and livestock
According to the foundation, the new system will not only serve drinking water needs but will also support domestic use and the rearing of more than 200 livestock, ensuring water availability for animals in the village. The project is expected to improve sanitation, public health, and the overall quality of life for residents of Pedda Komerla.
Project inauguration and community participation
The water supply system was inaugurated by Somala Venkata Gopal Reddy, HR Head of the Kadapa Plant, in the presence of other Dalmia Bharat officials and over 40 villagers from Pedda Komerla. The event marked a collaborative effort between the company and the local community.
