The GlobalMindED Conference empowers students who are not from privileged backgrounds by connecting them to role models, mentors, internships, and job opportunities. This year’s event will kick off with the First Gen Leadership Pre-Conference on June 7th, offering a full day of programming specifically tailored to first-generation students. The Pre-Conference will be followed by an opening reception, jazz band and the highly anticipated Inclusive Leaders Awards Dinner, recognizing exceptional individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to fostering inclusivity and equity. Tickets for the dinner are still available.
On June 8th and 9th, the GlobalMindED Conference will bring together students, faculty, and staff from across the nation to interact with influential national and global leaders who share a common goal of cultivating a diverse and capable talent pipeline. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage in discussions, attend panels, and participate in networking events, all aimed at creating a platform for the next generation of inclusive leaders to thrive.
One of the highlights of the conference will be the private movie screening on Thursday night, featuring the premier of “Beyond Their Years: The Incredible Legacies of Herb Carnegie and Buck O’Neil.” This exclusive event promises to inspire and enlighten attendees about the remarkable journeys and legacies of these extraordinary individuals.
Additionally, on Friday afternoon, the Industry Market Place will open its doors to all graduates and job seekers in Denver, providing a chance to explore career opportunities and connect with potential employers. This dynamic event will serve as a bridge between talented individuals and businesses seeking to recruit interns or employees who possess the skills and perspectives necessary to thrive in today’s diverse work environments.
GlobalMindED believes in providing equal opportunities for all students, including those who may face financial constraints. To ensure accessibility, fee-waived scholarships are available for students who cannot afford to attend. The organization also collaborates with Denver Kids, Rotary, Girls, Inc, and other partners to further expand its reach and impact in fostering access and equity in education.
