San Francisco, October 22, 2026: Cloudflare announced that over 10 million developers are now building on its platform, up from 7.4 million users in the previous quarter, as the company sees rapid growth in AI-driven development and agentic web traffic.
The company said daily AI agent requests on its network have risen by more than 1,700% in just over a year, reflecting a shift in cloud application needs as developers and AI agents increasingly collaborate and generate continuous agentic traffic.
Growth in developer adoption
Cloudflare attributed the increase in developer adoption to its unified platform, which allows users to build, deploy, secure, observe, and scale applications. The company said its architecture is designed to support the evolving requirements of AI-powered development and nonstop agentic workloads.
New tools for developers
As part of its investment in developer tools, Cloudflare introduced tsrs, a Rust port of the TypeScript compiler, developed in collaboration with the TypeScript team. According to early benchmarks, tsrs runs up to eight times faster and uses about 70% less memory compared to TypeScript 7.0.
AI-driven changes in cloud architecture
The company stated that the rise of AI agents is reshaping what applications require from the cloud, with agentic traffic and developer-agent collaboration becoming central to modern software lifecycles.
