Hong Kong, October 30, 2026: China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC Group) reported a 146.40% year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders for the third quarter of 2026, reaching RMB708 million, as revenue rose 16.91% to RMB47.9 billion. The company also saw a quarter-on-quarter net profit increase of 33.5% and a 3.57% rise in revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
For the first three quarters of 2026, CIMC Group posted revenue of RMB126.8 billion, up 8.33% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB1.45 billion. The strong third-quarter performance was driven by continued growth in offshore engineering and clean energy-related businesses, as well as a rebound in container manufacturing sales and prices in the second half of the year.
Offshore engineering orders exceed US$10 billion
Newly signed offshore engineering orders in the first three quarters totaled US$5.7 billion, with US$2.5 billion secured in the third quarter. As of September, CIMC Raffles’ orders on hand surpassed US$10 billion, a record high. Key contracts included the company’s second FLNG EPC turnkey contract with Golar, China’s first FPSO EPCIC turnkey contract, and orders for four VLCCs and twelve pure car and truck carriers.
The proportion of oil and gas orders to non-oil and gas orders stood at approximately 2:1, helping mitigate market fluctuations. The group also advanced capacity expansion at its oil and gas bases to meet rising demand in the deepwater oil and gas market. Notable project deliveries included the “CLEANSTAR” PCTC for a Greek ship-owner, a ro-ro ship for SMYRIL LINE, and the offshore substation topside module for the Datang Hainan Danzhou 1.2 GW wind power project.
Container manufacturing rebounds in second half
Dry cargo container sales volume in the third quarter reached 0.92 million TEUs, up 35% both year on year and quarter on quarter. Cumulative sales for the first three quarters totaled 2,055,000 TEUs, a 14.05% increase year on year. Reefer container sales, driven by South American fruit transport demand, reached 152,600 TEUs. Despite higher volumes, net profit in container manufacturing declined year on year due to lower prices in the first half and exchange rate effects.
A World Trade Organization report in October projected global goods trade volume growth of 3.9% in 2026 and 4.1% in 2027, citing resilient supply chains and technology sector momentum. Tight vessel capacity and low turnaround efficiency further supported container demand.
Growth in vehicles, logistics, and energy segments
CIMC Vehicles sold 116,000 vehicles globally in the first three quarters, up 14.62% year on year, with semi-trailer sales rising 14.80%. Overseas markets, particularly in the Global South, drove revenue growth of over 25%. The company debuted pure electric tractors and trailers at the IAA TRANSPORTATION exhibition in Hanover, Germany.
CIMC-TianDa’s airport facilities, logistics equipment, and fire safety businesses recorded steady revenue and profit growth, supported by project completions and e-commerce logistics demand. The fire safety segment saw significant quarter-on-quarter gains, aided by the Ziegler brand’s expansion.
CIMC Wetrans, the logistics services arm, achieved steady revenue and profit growth, with sea transportation gross profit up over 20%. The Tianjin container yard, a joint venture with a leading shipping line, began operations. The cold chain business expanded with increased reefer container investment, and subsidiaries in Kenya and Saudi Arabia launched self-operated vehicles. The air transportation business improved profitability and launched a year-round scheduled charter flight between Hong Kong and Miami in September.
Energy, chemical, and digital business performance
CIMC Enric reported revenue of RMB20.502 billion, up 6.0% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB817 million, up 6.5%. Newly signed orders reached RMB21.937 billion, with orders on hand at RMB33.381 billion as of September. Clean energy segment revenue rose 11.3% to RMB16.739 billion, while the chemical and environmental segment grew 38.7% to RMB2.181 billion. Liquid food segment revenue was RMB1.582 billion, with orders up 124.1% year on year.
In innovative businesses, CIMC Digital Energy’s modular data center business accelerated, with over 300MW of new orders signed in the third quarter and cumulative orders exceeding 500MW (over RMB8.0 billion) in the first three quarters. New production capacity in Shanxi is planned to serve the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei market.
Management stated that CIMC Group will continue to leverage technological innovation and global strategy to pursue opportunities in offshore engineering, green energy, and AI computing infrastructure, aiming for high-quality and sustainable development.
