The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest started in 2004 with the goal of fostering children’s creativity and encouraging them to have fun dreaming.

Since then, children aged 15 and under from around the world have sent in approximately 10 million drawings.

For the 18th contest, held in 2025, children from 90 countries and regions submitted approximately 660,000 drawings. This week on Toyota Times News, we take a look at the artists and artworks from the world contest winners in each age group, as well as the two special prizes.

The submitted artworks are full of messages and originality. The panel of judges includes artists, art directors, and motor journalists—all experts in their fields. Among them is Juichi Wakisaka, team director for TGR Team Sard.

A special award, the Let’s Change the Future of Cars Award, was selected by Simon Humphries, Chief Branding Officer. After careful deliberation, what did he eventually choose?

Another clip features the Bronze Award winner from the 7th contest (2013), Gergely Ferenczy from Hungary. At the time, Gergely was nine years old. Now he is 22, and his dreams and methods of expression have expanded beyond drawing.

“Let your creative mind and every creative idea fly from your brain to the paper.”

This was Gergely’s message to the children of the world. Watch the video to see the whole message.
