BRASILIA, Brazil, Sept. 7, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — C6 Sistemas de Lançamentos do Brasil (C6 Sistemas) and the Brazilian Air Force Command (COMAER) as we speak signed a contract for using items and providers of the Alcantara Space Center (CEA) finalizing a public name in 2021 by the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) and COMAER.

This first contract for area launch operations by a non-public firm signed by COMAER represents a brand new paradigm whereby the Brazilian Federal Government, by COMAER, offers providers to a non-public firm.

C6 Sistemas will construct a brand new launch space, broaden present infrastructure, and implement new advantages at CEA which can enhance CEA’s operational capability by growing area operations. At the tip of the contract, these turn into property of the Federal Government. Construction begins in June 2023 with first launch in Q2 2024.

C6 Sistemas is an entirely owned subsidiary of C6 Launch Systems in Canada. Richard McCammon, President, and CEO of C6 Launch highlighted that CEA is ideally positioned for the C6 group of corporations to offer devoted, responsive, and well timed launches for small satellites. He added C6 Launch is worked up about increasing operations in Brazil and dealing with its new accomplice, COMAER.
