Krists Milbergs, 24, of Meadow Bank, Bradford, faced a charge of using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.
He was caught driving without insurance on Sir Fred Hoyle Way, also known as the Bingley Bypass, on April 20, 2023.
Milbergs was handed six driving licence points, fined £200 and ordered to pay £110 costs and a £80 victim surcharge for the offence. A collection order was made by the court at the sentencing hearing.
He was given no separate penalty for a charge of exceeding a 50mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order – manned equipment. He was clocked driving at 83mph in a 50mph zone of the Bingley Bypass on April 20, 2023.
Milbergs pleaded guilty and was sentenced at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 15, 2023.
