Hyderabad, July 25, 2026: BML Munjal University (BMU) organized the 2nd Inter-School Sync-Hack 2026, featuring 250 students from 17 schools who presented AI and IoT-based projects addressing real-world challenges. The event aimed to foster innovation and practical skills among young participants.
The competition, held in collaboration with Ganges Valley School as the Knowledge Partner, included students from Classes IX to XII. Projects focused on various sectors such as healthcare, smart cities, mobility, agriculture, industrial automation, retail, and energy management.
Awards and Recognition
Teams were recognized for their innovative solutions in categories like Excellence in Problem Identification, Outstanding Research, and Best Solution. Page Junior College received the award for Excellence in Problem Identification, while Ganges Valley School was honored for the Best Solution. Unicent School, Bachupally, won the Best Research award, and Mount Carmel Global School was named Best Emerging Team. Winners received awards, certificates, and BMU scholarships for eligible B.Tech programs.
Dr. Maneek Kumar, Dean of the School of Engineering & Technology at BMU, emphasized the importance of experiential learning, stating, “The technologies shaping the future today are no longer confined to experimenting in laboratory spaces… Through Sync-Hack, we aspire to provide these school students with an opportunity to move beyond theory and apply the principles of AI, IoT, and automation to real-world situations.”
Projects were evaluated by BMU faculty and industry professionals, including an IBM engineer and BMU alumnus. All participants and mentors received certificates, and the event concluded with project presentations and recognition of the teams.
The program not only focused on competition but also provided students with hands-on exposure to emerging technologies, enhancing their teamwork, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
