Founded with a vision to deliver a high-quality bakery and café experience, the brand evolved to be a customer favourite with 7 outlets; four in Bhopal, two in Indore, and one in Gwalior.

Speaking about the journey, Mr. Vinod Talreja, Founders, Bake-N-Shake, said, “Bake-N-Shake was founded with a vision driven by our passion for food and commitment to build a brand that offers superior quality and consistent taste. With Zomato’s services, we have been able to maintain consistency, tap a wider customer base, and record significant growth over the years.”

Aditya Mangla, CEO, Zomato, said, “What sets Bake-N-Shake apart is their deep focus on customer experience. We’re glad to complement that strength by helping them connect with more food lovers who appreciate what they do.

The journey of Bake N Shake began in 2004, when Sanjay Talreja and Vinod Talreja set out to bring a high-quality bakery and café experience to Bhopal. Built on a passion for food and a commitment to excellence, the brand focused on freshly baked products made daily in in-house kitchens, using premium ingredients and locally sourced produce. The founders envisioned a brand that combines freshness, flavour and value, offering customers a warm and welcoming space to enjoy bakery products, pastries and beverages.

Since onboarding on Zomato, the brand has been able to:

  • Registered over 3.6x growth in yearly orders, from 31,791 in 2019 to over 113,772 orders in 2025
  • Expanded to seven outlets across Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior
  • Strengthened its menu with new product introductions and customized offerings based on customer preferences
  • Improved packaging and overall customer experience, especially for cake deliveries
  • Leveraged targeted promotion and advertising services to enhance visibility and drive growth

To help small restaurants scale quickly, Zomato has introduced several initiatives in recent years. These include a DIY onboarding tool that helps restaurants get listed on the platform in just 15 minutes and access to the Restaurant Services Hub, a curated marketplace of verified vendors offering licensing, staffing, and hygiene audit services. In select cities, new restaurants also benefit from 0% commission for the first 30 days, along with credits for ads and Hyperpure services. As of Q3 FY26, Zomato has an average of 336,000 monthly active food ordering and delivery restaurant partners on the platform.
