Hong Kong, October 28, 2026: The 16th Asian Logistics, Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC), organised by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 16 and 17, bringing together around 80 speakers and more than 2,300 participants from over 40 countries and regions.
This year’s conference, themed “Driving Inclusive Growth through Innovation and Sustainability,” will focus on supply chain resilience, green energy, and digital transformation, aligning with the National 15th Five-Year Plan, Hong Kong’s first Five-Year Plan, and the latest Policy Address. The event aims to reinforce Hong Kong’s role as an international trade, maritime, and aviation hub.
Industry leaders and government officials to address key topics
John Lee, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, is scheduled to deliver a special address on the second day, while Professor Frederick Ma, Chairman of the HKTDC, will open the conference. Jennifer Nordquist, Deputy Director-General of the World Trade Organization, will discuss supply chain resilience and strategies for inclusive growth. Other speakers include Steven Beck of the Asian Development Bank, Dr Yann Duval of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Emmanuelle Ganne of the World Trade Organization, Evan Xue of JD Group, and William Lee of SF Supply Chain (Hong Kong and Macau).
Focus on supply chain, Silk Road Maritime, and green energy
The conference will address challenges such as geopolitical tensions, trade barriers, climate change, and technological disruption. ALMAC will feature a thematic seminar on Silk Road Maritime, a logistics platform under the Belt and Road Initiative with 160 designated routes connecting 153 ports in 50 countries and regions and 393 members. Simon Bennett, Deputy Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping, will discuss coordinated port development and supply chain risk management.
Green energy will also be a major focus, with speakers including Scott Childress of UPS, Tim Lederer of DHL Express, Sham Man Fai of The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, and Junlin Yu of Rystad Energy examining trends in the sector.
Exhibitions, awards, and business matching sessions
The event will feature nearly 100 exhibitors in zones dedicated to supply chain management, maritime and port services, logistics technology, and green energy. The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Ltd will make its debut, alongside participants such as the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd, and JD.com. Mainland organisations including the Jiangsu Logistics Industry Promotion Association and the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen will return, while the Xi’an delegation will participate for the first time.
ALMAC will also include the LSCM Shipping Summit, “Hong Kong’s NextGen Logistician Awards 2026” Presentation Ceremony, and workshops on topics such as arbitration, artificial intelligence, green energy, and youth empowerment. Last year, the conference organised over 400 business-matching sessions, a practice set to continue this year.
