Kolkata, August , 2018: For the quarter ended 30th June 2018, Sinclairs Hotels has posted a Total Income of Rs.1570.38 lakh (Rs.1642.80 lakh). The Company’s EBIDTA for the quarter stood at Rs.746.56 lakh (Rs.863.62 lakhs). The Profit Before Tax for the quarter stood at Rs.564.31 lakh (Rs.679.99 lakh), while Profit After Tax was Rs.378.51 lakh (Rs.684.73 lakh).
The Company’s Tax Expenses for the first quarter were significantly higher at Rs.185.80 lakh as against a credit of Rs.4.74 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The closure of the Port Blair property for renovation and upgradation in the latter part of the quarter also contributed to a decline in the Company’s top and bottom lines for the quarter.

The Earnings per Rs.10 Share (not annualised) for the quarter stood at Rs.6.80.
The fully renovated Port Blair property is expected to commence operations in time for the high season in October 2018, and looking at the enquiries and advance bookings, the Company expects to gain substantially in revenue and profitability.
During the quarter, Trip Advisor, the globally respected travel portal, awarded ‘Certificate of Excellence 2018’ to the company’s properties at Darjeeling and Dooars. The Sinclairs properties at Ooty and Port Blair have also earned this distinction earlier.
